Meet the Characters of The Spirit Saga: Aaron

A great urban fantasy antagonist shouldn’t just be scary; they should make you wonder if the hero is on the wrong side. Aaron, the leader of the Elders in The Spirit Saga, does exactly that.

As the first human child to ever die and enter the spirit world, Aaron has seen history unfold for thousands of years. He views the Gods not as divine protectors, but as usurpers. He brings a sense of honor, duty, and tragedy to the role of the urban fantasy antagonist. If you want to see the “villain” who might actually be right, pick up the Spirit Saga Bundle. You can also follow my deep dives into the “Gods vs. Elders” conflict on TikTok.

Below is the full dossier on Aaron.

The Dossier

If Joshua is the spiritual heart of the Elders, Aaron is the iron fist.

Aaron is the Eldest of the Elders—the first human child to die and become a spirit after the original four (Abel, Cain, Seth, and Azura). He leads the faction of ancient spirits residing at Stonehenge, maintaining a thousands-year-old cold war against the Gods, whom he views as tyrants and murderers.

While he possesses the Red Aura of a Demon, Aaron does not fit the chaotic mold of modern Demons like Stephen. He is not driven by sadism; he is driven by duty.

Why You’ll Love (and Respect) Him

Aaron represents the “Old Guard”—spirits who value tradition, bloodlines, and honor above all else. He forces Frank (and the reader) to consider that the “good guys” (the Gods) might actually be the villains of history.

“We, the Elders, have no need for such trickery. One does not need to resort to lies when the truth is with them.”
